Rodriguez and son Ernesto Rodriguez, his mother and father Epolito and Eloisa Rodriguez; and in-laws Modesto and Clofitas Medina and many more special family and friends. He returned home and went to college at Highlands University graduating with a business degree. He returned home and began working at Millers Autoland Chevrolet dealership, where he met the love of his life Carolina Medina. They were wed in 1955 and were blessed with 4 wonderful children. He went on to be the manager at Kit Carson Electric where he worked for more than 20 years. He then started a private business Ricky’s Auto parts from which he retired in 1991.
Cremation Services
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday October 6, 2021 at 6pm in the Evergreen Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos. Rosary will be recited on Thursday October 7, 2021 at 9am followed by the Funeral Mass at 10am at San Francisco De Asis Catholic Church in Ranchos De Taos, with burial to follow at the Los Cordovas Cemetery. Jimmy was an amazing and loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by sons Epolito”Polo”Rodriguez, Enrique”Ricky”Rodriguez, wife Cleo Rodriguez, son Eddie Rodriguez and wife Catalina Rodriguez. Mondragon was a retired teacher and principal who received his teaching degree from Highlands University and a master’s degree from Adams State University. Joe is survived by his brother, Rudy, his partner and friend Lorenza, daughters, Deborah and Anissa, his grandchildren who he was very close to, Aristotle and Olivia, plus several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
